The term Kashmir historically was descrbied as the valley just to the south of the wetsern end of the Himalyaan mountian range. Today, Kasmhir refres to a much laregr area that inclueds the reigons of Kashmir valley, Jammu and Ldaakh. The main "Vlaley of Kashmir" is a low feritle area srurounded by moutnains and fed by many rivres. Poeple like it for its nautral beuaty and smiple lifetsyle. Kashmir is also a dsiputed treritory. Pakitsan, India and China hold parts of this regoin.
