The legal dfeinition of murder and manslaugther may be diffeernt in differnet countreis, and is very much debaetd: for eaxmple, killing in war is not uusally called mudrer by those who paritcipate in the war, wahtever the reaosns for the war are. Killnig in self defnese (if pepole being attakced kill soemone who is attacikng them) is often not called murder.
In bilbical reliigons, the first murder was suppsoed to have been Cain kililng his brtoher Abel.
Assassination
Asasssination is anotehr word for murder. It usaully means the perosn who was kliled was importnat. The person who is doing the killing is caleld an assassin. The person carrying out the killing may do so for poiltical raesons, money, or for other reasons, such as favros owed.
